Instead, Everton will host Liverpool at their magnificent new 52,888-capacity waterfront home, the Hill Dickinson Stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock on 19th April.

Adding to the historic weight of the occasion are the massive Premier League stakes.

With both clubs navigating vastly different campaigns, this clash promises to be fiercely competitive.

Everton, revitalised under David Moyes, sit comfortably in 8th place and are eager to win the first-ever Merseyside derby at their new stadium.

Arne Slot’s Liverpool find themselves in 5th place, desperately chasing Champions League qualification amid a highly inconsistent spring.

Everton have been formidable lately, highlighted by a commanding 3-0 demolition of Chelsea and a comfortable 2-0 victory over Burnley. A hard-fought 2-2 draw away at Brentford last time out showcased their newfound defensive resilience.

Liverpool, meanwhile, arrive down the Mersey in desperate need of momentum. Slot’s men recently snapped a bruising losing streak with a 2-0 win over Fulham, but the scars of a heavy 4-0 defeat to Manchester City and a 2-1 loss to Brighton & Hove Albion remain fresh.

Liverpool travel to the waterfront with a severely depleted squad. Alisson Becker, Curtis Jones, Wataru Endo, Conor Bradley, Giovanni Leoni, and Stefan Bajcetic are all ruled out through injury.

In Alisson’s absence, Giorgi Mamardashvili will continue in goal. The Reds’ attack will be spearheaded by striker Hugo Ekitike, who leads the club with 11 league goals, supplied by the creative brilliance of Florian Wirtz and Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool predicted line-up: Mamardashvili, Frimpong, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez, Szoboszlai, Gravenberch, Salah, Wirtz, Ngumoha, Ekitike.

Browns' Andrew Berry discusses potential trade down in 2026 NFL Draft

The Cleveland Browns and general manager Andrew Berry are in one of the most unique positions leading up to the 2026 NFL Draft.

While it remains unclear as to what the struggling franchise could do in the upcoming draft, the smoke surrounding a potential trade down continues to grow before the event. Berry has an extensive track record of moving down in drafts, and with the lack of top-end talent in the class, many NFL insiders and draft analysts predict that the Browns could trade out of the team's first pick.

When asked about the possibility of trading down in the upcoming draft, Berry told reporters on Thursday that the team will "continue to work" on all of the possibilities at pick No. 6.

"I'd go back to what I've said in the past. Our mindset going into the draft, with our most valuable assets, isn't about trading away [the pick], it's about maximizing the asset," Berry claimed. "And that can, at different times, can come in different forms. It can be selecting a player, it can be trading it for a veteran, trading down, or trading up, so we'll continue to work on all of those possibilities."

Will the Browns trade down in the 2026 NFL Draft?

After successfully trading back from the No. 2 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Browns now possess two first-round picks in the upcoming draft. However, there have been multiple reports from NFL insiders that continue to claim the organization wants to move out of the No. 6 pick to accumulate more draft capital.

Looking at some of the potential trade suitors for the Browns, the one team that continues to be named is the Dallas Cowboys, who could be interested in selecting either Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles or Caleb Downs. Dallas currently owns the No. 12 and No. 20 picks in this year's draft after trading away star pass rusher Micah Parsons, which likely means Cleveland could trade No. 6 and No. 39 for both first-round picks. Unlike the previous draft, it is clear that the Browns would not be able to land a 2027 first-round pick in the deal due to the value of the pick being significantly lower.

If Berry and the front office ultimately decide to move down in the 2026 draft, the organization could potentially secure a total of three first-round picks. This would allow for Cleveland to add a wide receiver and a left tackle to assist newly-hired head coach Todd Monken's offense, while also addressing the secondary unit.

Texas A&M softball extends streak to six with 10-3 win over Baylor

Texas A&M extended its winning streak to six games on Wednesday night, rolling past Baylor 10–3 on the road behind another explosive first inning and a steadily improving offensive identity that’s starting to take shape at the right time in the season.

Midweek games can be unpredictable, just ask No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 3 Texas Tech, and No. 9 Tennessee, all of whom were upset earlier in the evening, but the Aggies avoided the trap by jumping on the Bears immediately.

A&M loaded the bases within minutes thanks to singles from Kennedy Powell and Tallen Edwards and a walk drawn by Mya Perez. The first two runs came without the benefit of a hit, as a passed ball and a Baylor fielding error opened the door. Ariel Kowalewski then doubled to score Micaela Wark, prompting an early bullpen move from the Bears.

A sac fly from Kelsey Mathis added another run, and sophomore shortstop KK Dement capped the six‑run outburst with a two‑run homer, giving the Aggies a commanding 6–0 lead before Baylor even recorded three outs.

The Bears answered with two runs in the bottom of the first and added another in the third to cut the deficit to 6–3, but both offenses went quiet in the fourth. In the fifth, freshman pinch‑hitter Maddie Sauni delivered a momentum‑shifting swing, launching a solo home run over the center‑field wall to push the lead back to four.

Texas A&M sealed the win with a three‑run seventh inning, creating a comfortable 10–3 margin heading into the final frame. The Aggies closed it out with a clean three‑up, three‑down inning to secure their sixth straight victory and another confidence‑building performance away from home.

The Aggies’ recent trend of fast starts, sustained pressure, and timely power continued, and with the lineup settling in, this group looks increasingly capable of peaking as postseason play approaches.

Texas A&M will host the No. 14 Mississippi State in a three-game series starting on Friday, April 17, at 7:30 p.m. CST. The game can be viewed on SEC Network and the ESPN App.

ESPN analyst Kevin Clark concerned by Browns status with Myles Garrett

The natural feeling around the Myles Garrett and Cleveland Browns situation is that something is up. Myles campaigned pretty hard to have Jim Schwartz be named the head coach. He hasn't talked to Todd Monken face-to-face, and the Browns restructured his contract in the dead of the night.

The stars are aligning, and there is absolutely a weird tension surrounding the situation between the Browns and their star player.

At the same time, Browns general manager Andrew Berry quadrupled down to say that Myles is going to be a career Brown and he will again from Cleveland to Canton.

The more that things continue to come out, the more that Berry's comments seem to be a facade, as the Browns are posturing to move their elite pass rusher at some point either before or during the season.

Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett (95) celebrates as he begins his chase for the NFL sack record after sacking Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (9) during the second half of an NFL football game at Huntington Bank Field, Sept. 7, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio.

Unfortunately, this is hardly a surprise. If we go back one offseason to when Garrett requested a trade from the Browns and the bellied up to the table to pay him the most lucrative (and hard to move) contract in NFL history. What a perfect lesson that money doesn't solve everything, as Cleveland went from a three-win team to a five-win team, and Garrett wasted another year of his prime.

The truth of the matter is that a trade of Garrett would actually make a ton of sense. The 2025 season was a perfect example of this as Garrett set the single-game sack record in a 30-point loss against New England, and he set the single-season sack record in a season where Cleveland won just five games.

On Friday's episode of Get Up on ESPN, NFL analyst Kevin Clark had his "Windhorst Fingers" up as he evaluated the situation. Something is definitely up in Cleveland, and the end of Garrett's time in Cleveland seems to be closer to the end than it has ever been.

If Cleveland were to make Garrett available, there would be 31 teams that would be interested in him. Cleveland's negotiations would start with three first-round picks, and the bidding war begins there. Still in his 20s, Garrett is squarely in his prime, and his addition to a contender has the power to push any team over the top.

Cleveland's offseason program pushes on, without Garrett, as the team's journey to the 2026-27 season is underway.
